For a Q43 alligator shear inquiry, describe solid bars, hollow pipe and shaped profiles on separate lines. Give the material grade where known, the dimensions that define the section, the incoming length and the required cut result. A single description such as “steel scrap” or “large pipe” leaves too much uncertainty for a useful model recommendation.
Nanyuan’s Alligator Shears range includes Q43 crocodile-type hydraulic shear listings such as the Q43-160 and Q43-250. Their catalog application references include bar, pipe and section cutting. These listings are starting points for a technical inquiry; they do not establish the permissible section for your particular scrap.
Use one record for each material form
Split the feed into categories that can be described and checked consistently. A yard receiving solid rounds, square tube and angle offcuts should prepare three records, even if everything is sold under one scrap category. Add separate records for material with a different grade, thickness or condition when that difference may affect the supplier’s assessment.
Give each record an identifier that also appears in its photographs. Include the usual material and the largest pieces that arrive regularly. Keep rare oversized pieces separate, so the supplier can explain whether they require another preparation route instead of selecting the whole machine around an unexplained maximum.
Record the right dimensions for solid stock
For round bar, record diameter and incoming length. For square or rectangular solid stock, record the cross-section dimensions and length. Identify the metal and grade from reliable material information where available. If the grade is unknown, say so and ask what evidence the supplier needs before confirming suitability.
A clear photograph should include a scale and a view of the cross-section. Show bends, attachments or other features that affect how the stock can be presented. Do not infer grade, hardness or a cutting rating from appearance alone. Supplier confirmation should refer back to the measured section and stated material, not simply to the photograph’s filename.
Distinguish pipe diameter from wall thickness
For tube or pipe, record the outside dimensions and wall thickness separately. A large thin-wall tube and a smaller thick-wall tube are different inquiries; an outside diameter alone does not describe the section. Note the incoming length, end condition and any welded fittings or attached components that are part of the feed.
For mixed or used stock, explain how wall thickness was established and identify uncertain measurements. If pieces are flattened or distorted, include both an overall view and the relevant section detail. Ask the supplier to state what additional measurements are needed. Do not convert an incomplete description into a claimed maximum cutting size.
Give shaped profiles a section sketch
Angles, channels, beams and other profiles need more than one overall dimension. Provide the section designation or a drawing when available, together with the relevant thicknesses and overall dimensions. A simple annotated section sketch can remove ambiguity about which edge, flange or wall a measurement describes.
Identify whether the feed consists of individual pieces, nested sections, welded assemblies or bundles. Do not assume that a confirmation for one individual section also covers several pieces presented together. Ask the supplier to specify the material arrangement and any preparation required for the proposed model. Keep that response with the quotation.
Describe condition without hiding exceptions
State whether the material is clean production offcut, painted scrap, rusty stock or material with other attachments. Record contamination and uncertain contents for the supplier’s review. Closed containers, pressurized items, sealed pipework or unidentified assemblies require an appropriate material-safety assessment; a catalog reference to pipe cutting is not permission to process them.
Use your site’s qualified personnel and the manufacturer’s instructions to define an acceptable feed policy. This worksheet supports equipment selection and does not provide operating, loading or hazard-removal instructions. The technical response should identify exclusions and conditions as clearly as it identifies acceptable material.
Connect the cut target to the receiving process
Write down why the stock needs cutting. The requirement may come from a downstream processor, a handling method or a transport constraint. Record the requested outgoing length or size limit, whether several output lengths are needed and whether different grades must remain separate. Have the receiving party confirm any acceptance requirement that matters commercially.
Distinguish the normal cut target from an occasional exception. If repeatability matters, ask the supplier which features and procedures support it on the proposed configuration. Do not assume that blade length, model number or nominal force establishes a finished-length tolerance or continuous production capacity.
Add feeding and output assumptions to the worksheet
Explain how stock reaches the machine and how cut pieces are collected. Identify the handling equipment available and provide a site sketch that shows material staging, the operator’s designated position and the collection route. Ask the supplier to review the proposed handling arrangement against the model’s operating and safeguarding requirements.
For an output target, state the mix of sections and the intended working period. Ask whether the quoted estimate covers the complete process or only a particular machine action. A claim based on one easy section should not be applied automatically to the whole mixed-scrap stream.
Request a response against every material line
A practical RFQ line contains the material identifier, form, grade or uncertainty, section dimensions, incoming length, condition, normal quantity and required cut result. Attach the photographs or drawings under the same identifier. Then ask Nanyuan to mark each line as confirmed, requiring more information, requiring testing or outside the proposed scope.
Request the current model-specific data sheet and a clear explanation of the material assumptions behind any recommendation. Compare the complete response rather than assuming a larger model designation is automatically necessary or sufficient. If the handling route may call for a different shear category, the gantry-versus-alligator comparison provides broader selection context.
Send the measured brief for a model review
Share the worksheet, section photographs, cut requirement, operating period, destination and available electrical supply through Nanyuan’s contact page. Identify any Q43 listing you are considering, but ask the supplier to recommend the exact configuration from the material evidence. Keep unresolved feed limits visible until the supplier has confirmed them in the technical and commercial documents.
