A reference to diesel power does not establish that a scrap shear is supplied with a diesel engine, two installed drives or automatic changeover. First identify what the source says the diesel arrangement is for. Then ask which arrangement, if any, is included in the current quotation.
Nanyuan’s earlier Q43 and QW series descriptions use different wording. Reading them together is useful because “backup power” and an optional power source do not answer the same purchasing question. This comparison concerns historical catalog descriptions, not a current offer or a guarantee of operating capability.
Keep the two archive statements distinct
The Q43 series archive says the equipment can be fitted with a diesel engine as backup power. The QW series archive names motor and diesel-engine power-source options. Neither sentence identifies an engine in a particular machine being quoted today.
| Historical reference | What the wording supports | What remains unconfirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Q43: diesel as backup power | A backup role is described as a possible arrangement | Whether that arrangement is offered or included for the selected machine |
| QW: motor and diesel-engine power-source options | The catalog identifies power-source choices | Which choice is proposed, and whether more than one drive is installed |
The current Q43-120 reference page and QW-400 reference page link to those earlier series records. Their archived tables are explicitly historical. Do not transfer a series option into the present supply scope simply because the selected model appears in the same catalog.
Separate the intended role from installed equipment
Explain whether the project needs an alternative primary drive, a backup arrangement for interruptions, or a configuration for a site without an available electrical supply. Those are project requirements, not conclusions that can be drawn from the word “diesel.” Ask the supplier to state which requirement the proposed arrangement is intended to meet.
Next, identify the equipment actually included. A quotation should distinguish its selected drive from any separately proposed option. If the buyer requests more than one power source, ask for an explicit configuration description. Do not assume that two power sources mentioned in a catalog means two complete systems supplied together.
A fictional offer might name a motor-driven machine and mention diesel only in an options note. That note is not confirmation of an installed backup engine. Conversely, a proposal identifying diesel as its selected drive does not establish that a motor drive is also present. Resolve the scope rather than approving whichever interpretation best suits the project.
Do not derive operating limits from the power-source name
Neither archive sentence establishes continuous operating duration, fuel consumption, changeover method or the performance of the current machine under the buyer’s material conditions. An electric-motor figure in a historical table is not, by itself, a diesel-engine sizing instruction or a conversion rule.
Ask for the documentation applicable to the proposed drive and its intended duty. Provide the material description, expected work pattern and site conditions for the responsible technical review. If destination-specific requirements are relevant, request the documentation for that actual engine and configuration; a generic diesel reference is not evidence of compliance.
This is a purchasing distinction, not an installation or switching procedure. Engine selection, connections, controls and operating instructions must come from the current equipment documentation and qualified review. Do not use archive wording to design a changeover arrangement.
Close the quotation question with one consistent description
Keep the selected machine reference, intended power role, included drive equipment and applicable document revision together in the offer review. If one attachment says backup and another only lists a diesel option, leave the discrepancy open until the supplier clarifies it. The archive can identify the question; it cannot resolve a new quotation.
Send Nanyuan a power-scope inquiry identifying the Q43 or QW reference, available site power and the role you need the proposed drive to perform. Ask for a current configuration and an itemized statement of included and optional equipment. Keep availability, duty and commercial terms subject to that current response.
