Scrap Machine Model Codes: Match the Listing, Drawing and Quote

Verify a scrap machine model by matching the catalog reference to a current supplier drawing and quotation. Similar code fragments do not establish identical equipment. Keep the listing name, proposed configuration and document revisions together, and ask the supplier to explain any difference before accepting the offer.

Why a model name needs supporting documents

A catalog may contain a series name, a historical code and a descriptive sales title. These can help locate a product, but they do not replace a configuration-specific specification. A number in a title should not be converted into a performance promise without current evidence for the exact machine.

For example, Nanyuan’s Y81/F-K250 listing asks buyers to request a current drawing and data sheet because the archived series tables do not identify that exact catalog entry. The Y43-120 shear listing makes the same distinction. This guide does not map either entry to a different model or assign a capacity.

Create a model cross-reference register

Record What to capture Question if it differs
Catalog Exact URL, visible title, date reviewed Which current proposal corresponds to this listing?
Supplier model Complete proposed code and configuration description Is this an equivalent name, a revision or a different machine?
Drawing Drawing number, revision and issue date Does the quoted configuration match this revision?
Data sheet Document reference and stated conditions Which figures apply to the actual material and setup?
Quotation Offer reference, revision and included equipment Which drawings and data sheets form the offered scope?

Leave missing fields blank with an explicit “awaiting confirmation” status. A copied screenshot can document what was seen, but it should not be treated as a signed agreement on the machine to be supplied.

Resolve the name mismatch before comparing specifications

Send the conflicting references together rather than asking a vague question about “the 250 model.” Ask the supplier to state whether the difference is only naming or reflects another configuration. Request one current reference that your purchasing, engineering and receiving teams can use consistently.

The scrap metal baler range and alligator shear range contain multiple entries. Similar prefixes or product-family membership do not establish interchangeable chambers, blades, controls or accessories. Do not borrow a figure from a neighboring listing to fill a gap.

Connect the machine identity to the material brief

Once the supplier identifies the proposed configuration, tie it to your material description and required output. Record the material grade, form, size range, contamination questions and handling method that the supplier used in preparing the proposal. Ask which assumptions limit the stated performance.

This step keeps a technically accurate data sheet from being used for the wrong application. Rated force, chamber dimensions and a throughput estimate answer different questions. A model-name match alone does not establish output under your operating conditions.

Control changes after the first quotation

If a drawing, accessory or model reference changes, keep the earlier version and record the reason for revision. Ask which quotation lines and requirements are affected. Mark superseded documents clearly in your internal file so a receiving team does not compare a shipment against an obsolete illustration.

Use a simple change record: date, previous reference, replacement reference, explanation, commercial or technical impact, and approval owner. Do not silently edit supplier documents yourself to make names appear consistent.

Prepare a focused model-confirmation request

“We are reviewing [catalog URL]. Our quotation states [code], while drawing [number/revision] states [code]. Please confirm the exact proposed machine and explain the relationship among these references. Identify the current data sheet and included configuration, using our attached material brief.”

Send the references to Nanyuan for clarification. The useful outcome is a consistent, current proposal that can be reviewed by the buyer’s qualified team, not an assumed mapping based on catalog wording.
