A blade-length figure describes a machine component. It does not, by itself, establish the dimensions or material sections that a scrap shear is approved to process. When reviewing a Q91Y proposal, connect the blade entry to the current configuration drawing and a written assessment of your actual feed.
Keep the 2000 mm entry attached to its archive
Nanyuan’s Q91Y-1000A hydraulic scrap shear listing records a blade length of 2000 mm in its historical model table. The page identifies those figures as information from an earlier configuration and requires confirmation for the machine being quoted. The number is a useful reference for a question; it is not a current purchase specification on its own.
Keep the field name, unit and historical status together when transferring it into an inquiry. Copying only “2000 mm” into a column called maximum feed width changes the meaning of the source. Ask the supplier to identify the blade arrangement in the present offer before deciding whether the archive and proposal describe the same equipment.
Separate three different geometry questions
Blade length, press-box dimensions and the approved feed envelope answer different questions. Blade length describes the stated tool dimension. Press-box dimensions describe the named space in a machine drawing. The feed envelope needs the manufacturer’s assessment of the material and its proposed presentation to the machine.
A long, narrow section and an irregular piece can have the same longest dimension while creating different review questions. Record grade, section shape, wall thickness where relevant, overall dimensions and condition. Include difficult pieces rather than presenting only the easiest examples. This gives the supplier information that a single blade-length entry cannot supply.
The outgoing cut length is another requirement. It describes the desired result after cutting, not the incoming material’s approved dimensions. Use the separate scrap shear cut-length guide when defining that output measurement.
Build a three-part drawing crosswalk
Use one comparison record with three clearly separated sections:
- Archived reference: product page, model, blade-length field, unit and historical label.
- Current offered configuration: quotation reference, drawing number and revision, with the supplier identifying the applicable blade and feed-area details.
- Reviewed feed: material reference, relevant dimensions and the supplier’s written confirmation of what the proposed configuration can accept, including unresolved conditions.
The purpose is to connect evidence, not to calculate a clearance. Do not turn a difference between two drawing dimensions into a usable allowance. If the drawing does not identify a permitted material condition, leave that condition open and ask for a configuration-specific response.
Make the material drawings easy to interpret
For each important feed type, provide a photograph and a dimensioned description with the same identifier. Explain whether dimensions describe an individual piece, a bundle or the outside boundary of a loose collection. Mark which figures are measured and which are estimates. A supplier should not have to infer that distinction from a photograph.
Ask which drawing view and reference directions apply to the proposed feed assessment. The same words, such as width or height, can become ambiguous when the material sketch and machine drawing use different orientations. Resolving those labels is a purchasing clarification; the manufacturer’s instructions and qualified site review must determine the actual loading method.
Resolve a tempting but unsupported comparison
Consider a hypothetical buyer whose material sketch shows an outside dimension smaller than the archived blade length. That comparison alone does not establish suitability. The supplier still needs the material section, grade, remaining geometry and proposed machine configuration. A smaller single dimension does not answer all of those questions.
If a supplier response addresses only one feed group, do not extend it to every group in the inquiry. Record the confirmed scope beside the corresponding material identifier. When a current drawing replaces an earlier version, ask whether the material assessment remains applicable rather than carrying the old conclusion forward automatically.
Request the missing confirmation directly
Send the material descriptions, difficult-piece examples, target cut and proposed handling context through Nanyuan’s project inquiry page. Ask for the current Q91Y drawing and an explicit response on the feed conditions under review. The useful purchasing outcome is a documented match between material and configuration, with unanswered limits visible before an order is approved.
