A briquetting trial’s finished briquettes do not necessarily account for everything that entered the agreed trial boundary. Reconcile input with all identified outputs and material remaining inside that boundary. Keep any unexplained difference visible instead of treating it as recovered metal, removed fluid or machine loss without evidence.
Nanyuan’s Y83 Series Metal Briquetting Machine listing asks buyers to identify chip form, moisture and whether coolant recovery matters. It requires a current configuration and material-specific discussion. The listing does not supply a measured mass balance or recovery percentage for the buyer’s feed.
Draw the boundary before adding the numbers
Define the trial lot, the start and end points and the equipment included. State whether any material was already present at the beginning or remained at the end. Without that information, an input-output comparison can confuse a change in material held inside the process with an unaccounted output.
Identify every quantity crossing the boundary, including any additional material introduced during the agreed trial. Do not quietly exclude an input because it is not the principal chip stream. The responsible trial team must define the measurement and safe collection methods; purchasing should review the resulting records, not improvise material handling.
Use a clearly hypothetical reconciliation
The following invented figures explain a simple closed-lot calculation. They are not Nanyuan test results, equipment specifications or a target recovery rate. This example assumes the boundary began without retained material and that there were no additional inputs.
| Record category | Illustrative mass | Meaning within this example |
|---|---|---|
| Input lot | 100 kg | Total material entering the defined boundary |
| Accepted briquettes | 88 kg | Output classified under the trial’s stated acceptance rule |
| Collected fluid | 6 kg | Separately recorded stream, with composition unestablished |
| Fines or other separated material | 2 kg | Distinct recorded output, not counted again as briquettes |
| Material retained at trial end | 3 kg | Recorded quantity remaining within the boundary |
| Unexplained difference | 1 kg | 100 minus 88 minus 6 minus 2 minus 3 |
The entries reconcile arithmetically only when the categories are mutually exclusive and their measurement basis is consistent. The 1 kg difference is an open question. The calculation does not identify where it went or prove that any stream contains only metal or only fluid.
Prevent double counting before discussing yield
If rejected or broken briquettes are recorded separately, make clear whether they were removed from the accepted-briquette total. If fines are included in a container weight, they cannot also be added as a separate output unless the original total is adjusted on an evidenced basis.
Check that each record concerns the same lot and period. A collection vessel containing material from an earlier trial cannot be assigned wholly to the current one. Unprocessed input awaiting the next run also needs its own location in the boundary record rather than disappearing from the reconciliation.
The gross, tare and net weight guide addresses the basis of an individual weight. This reconciliation begins after that basis is understood and asks whether all the separate quantities describe one complete, non-overlapping trial.
Keep mass, composition and acceptance distinct
Collected fluid mass does not establish reusable coolant quantity or quality. Briquette mass does not establish dry-metal content, alloy purity or a metallurgical yield. A recorded output may still contain material whose composition or downstream acceptability requires assessment.
Keep three fields for each stream: recorded mass, known composition information and acceptance status. Where composition is unknown, preserve that uncertainty. Do not apply an assumed moisture or contamination deduction solely to create an attractive percentage.
The coolant recovery scope guide covers equipment and responsibility boundaries. A mass reconciliation complements that scope discussion but cannot confirm what treatment equipment is included or whether any collected liquid is fit for reuse.
Investigate the difference without inventing a cause
Ask whether units, container deductions, timing, retained material and omitted streams were reviewed. Retain original records and document any correction. Measurement uncertainty and an agreed tolerance need an appropriate technical basis; this guide sets no universal allowable discrepancy.
If the evidence remains incomplete, mark the balance unresolved. A photograph showing briquettes beside a vessel is not enough to complete the missing quantities or establish a recovery result.
Request a bounded trial record
Send Nanyuan the chip description and proposed trial boundary. Request a current configuration, identified input lot and records for the relevant output streams and retained material. Ask which quantities can be measured and which will remain unassessed.
The useful result is an explainable reconciliation for the defined trial. It supports further review while keeping recovery claims, receiver acceptance and commercial terms separate from arithmetic.
