Y83-315 Mould Rows: Which Tooling Is Actually Included?

Two mould diameters listed under Y83-315 do not establish that a new briquetting press comes with two tooling sets. They also do not establish that the quoted machine can change between those diameters. Separate the historical dimensions from the tooling selected, supplied and technically supported in the current proposal.

What the two historical rows actually show

Nanyuan’s earlier Y83 series catalogue groups two rows under Y83-315. Each mould entry has its own corresponding briquette-size entry:

Historical model groupingPress mould, mmBriquette size, mm
Y83-315, first rowΦ120 × 180Φ120 × (50–70)
Y83-315, second rowΦ140 × 180Φ140 × (50–70)

These are paired catalogue entries, not a packing list. The source does not identify the number of tooling sets delivered with a particular purchase, a current changeover arrangement or a procedure for exchanging tooling. It has no identified engineering revision that establishes the build of a new machine.

The current Y83-315 product page reproduces the Φ120 × 180 mould entry as historical data and directs buyers to confirm current specifications. Its one-row summary does not erase the second row in the earlier source; neither source makes that second diameter an automatically available or included option today.

Keep geometry and supply quantity in different fields

For a proposed order, identify the selected tooling by the supplier’s current part or drawing reference, not just by copying “120/140” into a spreadsheet. A slash can hide whether the buyer wants one diameter, is comparing alternatives or expects two separate sets.

Ask the supplier to distinguish the tooling installed on delivery from any additional tooling supplied separately. If the offer covers only one configuration, record that explicitly. If an additional set is proposed, its identity and quantity need their own confirmed line. An unanswered quantity is unresolved, not an included spare.

This distinction matters even when a buyer expects to make only one briquette diameter initially. A future diameter requirement should remain a separate technical question until the supplier has reviewed it against the actual proposed machine. A historical model name shared by two rows is not that review.

Additional tooling does not by itself prove changeover capability

There are two different questions: can another set be supplied, and is that set supported on the quoted press? A positive answer to the first does not answer the second. Request the manufacturer’s current compatibility statement and the relevant documentation for any proposed changeover. This purchasing guide does not provide tooling-change instructions.

Do not derive the required replacement components, fit, adjustment, downtime or operator responsibilities from the two catalogue dimensions. Those details are not established by the source. Nor does the shared model grouping prove equal output, density, power demand or material suitability for the two diameters.

Make the diameter decision traceable to the receiver’s requirement

State which briquette geometry the receiving processor actually needs and which material is to be compacted. Keep the required finished-briquette condition separate from the mould description. The historical table itself gives a different second dimension for the mould and the briquette; copying the mould entry as the required finished product would lose that distinction.

Have the supplier confirm the selected configuration and the evidence required to assess the intended output. The historical 50–70 mm entry is not a guaranteed finished-length range for a new order or for every material.

Ask for one clear tooling scope

Contact Nanyuan with the Y83-315 reference, material description and receiving processor’s briquette requirement. Ask the quotation to identify the selected current tooling, the number of sets included, any separately proposed sets and whether a changeover is actually supported. Keep unresolved alternatives outside the confirmed delivery scope until those answers are documented.
