Confirm the receiving processor’s requirements before choosing a metal briquette size. The useful specification describes an acceptable delivered briquette, the material it contains and how it will be handled and assessed. A press mould dimension alone does not establish that the receiving facility will accept the resulting material.
Nanyuan’s metal briquetting press range includes Y83 and Y83W listings and asks buyers to define chip form, moisture, downstream use and handling requirements. This guide focuses on the receiving processor’s part of that decision. It does not assign output dimensions, density or capacity to an unconfirmed machine configuration.
Identify who will accept the briquettes
Name the receiving facility and the person responsible for its material specification. Ask for the current written requirement rather than relying on a previous buyer’s preference or an undated sample photograph. Clarify whether the requirement governs a trial delivery, routine supply or a particular downstream process.
Record the specification revision and the date of confirmation. If a broker is involved, establish which requirements come from the actual receiver. A useful purchasing file connects the receiver’s statement to the material you intend to process, rather than describing a universal briquette that is assumed to suit every outlet.
Separate geometry from material quality
Ask the receiver to state the relevant shape and dimensional requirements, including how dimensions will be measured. Identify whether a maximum, minimum, nominal target or permitted range applies. Keep each requirement in its original unit and explain any conversion used when sending the brief to the equipment supplier.
Then record the material requirements separately: metal grade or mixture, chip form, moisture and contamination information that the receiver needs. A briquette with an acceptable shape can still be unsuitable for a receiver’s material requirements. Conversely, changing geometry cannot be assumed to solve an issue caused by mixed grades or contamination.
Describe handling before specifying a test
Map how briquettes move from the press to storage, transport and the receiving process. Identify the containers, transfer points and handling equipment planned. Ask the receiver what condition the briquettes must retain on arrival and which evidence is required to demonstrate this.
Do not invent a drop height, strength rating or acceptance limit. Where a handling test is needed, the responsible parties should agree the method and criteria. Machine selection and trial planning must use safe, approved procedures; this article is a procurement worksheet, not a handling or operating instruction.
Build a receiver-confirmation sheet
- Receiving facility and responsible contact
- Material grade, chip form and allowed mixture
- Required shape and dimensions, with measurement method
- Condition requirements and agreed supporting evidence
- Packaging, transport and unloading arrangement
- Sampling or inspection method at receipt
- Specification revision, approval date and open questions
Give unresolved items their own status. “Awaiting receiver confirmation” is more useful than a blank field that another person may interpret as unrestricted. If two potential receivers require different formats, keep separate sheets and ask the equipment supplier to explain whether one proposed configuration can cover both.
Connect the receiver’s requirement to a material trial
Send Nanyuan representative material information and the receiver-confirmation sheet together. Ask which proposed model, tooling and configuration will be evaluated, and what material quantity or documentation is needed to plan that evaluation. Request a record that identifies the sample material and the conditions behind the result.
Compare the trial output with the receiver’s agreed measurement and acceptance procedure. Do not substitute a mould table for that comparison. The catalogue itself notes that material type, chip shape, moisture and loose density influence selection; an archived model figure is not a guarantee of the result from a different feed stream.
Keep the commercial decision traceable
Record whether the receiver accepted the actual trial evidence, requested changes or left questions unresolved. Keep that response with the machine proposal. If the feed material, proposed tooling or receiving outlet changes, review the acceptance basis before treating the earlier result as transferable.
The quotation should identify the configuration discussed and the agreed technical scope. Price, delivery, commissioning and other commercial terms require their own written confirmation. A buyer’s desired briquette size is a requirement to assess, not a promise that every press in a series will produce an accepted result.
Send a focused briquetting inquiry
Use Nanyuan’s contact page to provide the metal and chip information, receiving specification, handling route, intended operating period and site utilities. For the broader process choice, review briquetting versus scrap baling. The next step is a model-specific discussion supported by the actual material and the receiver’s documented requirement.
